A Boost in Hiring

Signs are pointing to an economic upswing. People are slowly starting to purchase again which for our business (staffing) means companies are beginning to hire. Just check out Careerlink.com and you’ll find over 300 sales positions posted for the Omaha area compared to 100 not long ago. What does that mean for our own workforce? Our summer hiring is in motion. We’re adding internal staff to serve our clients’ hiring needs and we’re off to a great start!

Employees on the Go: Mark Wolf and Paul Fishburn

Taking their personal fitness goals to a whole new level, C&A employees Mark Wolf and Paul Fishburn competed in their first indoor Ironman, triathlon event. Common Ground Recreational Center in Elkhorn, Nebraska held the indoor, week-long event in May.

Asides

• C&A concluded Project Fresh Start, a back-to-school clothing drive, in conjunction with the Open Door Mission and Lydia House!  Employees donated new clothing for kids entering grades K-6 as well as cash and gift cards that will be used to purchase items and sizes in shorter supply.  A great effort for a great cause! #
• C&A has kicked-off an exciting campaign, Project Fresh Start, a back-to-school clothing drive in partnership with the Open Door Mission and Lydia House!  To launch the drive, C&A employees paid to wear jeans for two days last week, with proceeds benefitting this great cause.  Project Fresh Start will continue through July 23rd. #
• Over 350 C&A employees and guests celebrated the opening of the College World Series on Friday, June 18th, with hamburgers and hotdogs, ice cream, music, and fun for the kids, including a bounce house, inflatable baseball, and other activities. Afterwards, many headed to the stadium for music, the opening ceremonies, and fireworks!  In conjunction with the event, $458 was raised from the auction of multiple parking spaces located right outside the Pavilion.
